great product, check tip/ trick.

I wanted a larger square model similar to one a saw a Mexican woman using in Mexico, but this works just fine. I mimicked her technique of moving the handle side to side while pressing and the tortillas come out fine. 8" is large enough and the fresh product is well liked at home. How anyone could break the handle I don't know, no strength is required beyond that of an 8 year old girl. The trick is to use a plastic produce bag on both sides of the dough. Just cut the bag with scissors, half is enough. While I did not get out my calipers to measure, thickness was fine.

Qaulity built to last.

I Love this press. I have a norpro one and it is just too flimsy and light. Never liked using it.This one has the right amount of weight to it so it makes pressing easy.Cut a zip lock bag to the size of the circle and put that down then the dough then the other half on top, makes it super simple to peel the tortilla from the ziplog bag.I made a Keto Tortilla and kicked up the flavor with some garlic seasoning and chili lime seasoning.. damn good.

Quality piece for my low carb tortillas

I bought this tortilla press to make keto/low carb tortillas and have enjoyed it so much. It is the real deal. It is heavy duty and easy to keep clean if you put down parchment paper or a sandwich bag cut up. I expect this to last my lifetime and then some. BTW, my tortilla recipe is basically the Fat Head Pizza Dough recipe made with Miracle Mix from Wellness Bakeries instead of straight almond flour. They are delicious! This press has made it possible to turn my tortillas into mini pie crusts as well, by just pressing them into silicone baking cups. I am so thrilled with it!

Heavy duty help in making tortillas

This is no lightweight, and that's a good thing. You can put some real strength behind the press without concern you might bend or break it. We've had consistent success in making thin, flat, even tortillas. This model make smallish tortillas, but that's what we happen to like. If you're new to using a tortilla press, I'd recommend looking for a how-to video on YouTube to help you get started. There are lots of little tips and tricks available to make the job easier and more successful.

Tortilla press

This thing is heavy and does its job really well. I got a pack of parchment paper circles that I use plus a little cooking spray, and that keeps everything moving very well.
