Love this coffee! I’ve tried many different kinds and found this Guatemalan coffee to be the best. It’s richness and full flavor is pleasing but not overwhelming. It’s taken me some time to determine the exact scoop size to achieve that sweet spot and now I’m finally there. Plus, I purchased a coffee grinder from Hamilton-Beach that allows adjustments on the coarseness of the grind that gives me greater consistency. In addition, the k-cup paper filters is the key to achieving smoothness to ensure a perfect cup of coffee.
We get this coffee exclusively in our house because we love it. When we have visitors over, without fail, they always tell us it is the best coffee they’ve ever had. We love it. It’s fresh, very consistent in flavor. The roasted beans are clean, shiny and immaculate and I know I have a quality product. Every single morning we grind them and brew. And every morning we are never disappointed. We lived through the Snowstorm in Texas with no water or electricity for a week and we hand ground d the beans and French presses the boiled water and drinking this coffee was what got us through our otherwise horrible days. There is nothing fancy or flavor infused Or concocted with this flavor of coffee. It’s medium roasted Puerto Rican Coffee Beans and anyone that shares a cup at our house is never let down, we will always get this coffee so long as it’s always available. We love it!!!
Normally I order Dark Italian Roast Espresso, from Coffee Bean Direct. I'm addicted to strong, rich coffee, after 25 years in the Air Force.I like a variety of coffees. This Dark Guatemalan, from Whole Bean Coffee, is reasonably priced. The flavor is smooth and rich, similar to the Dark Italian Roast Espresso, from Coffee Bean Direct. The Guatemalan has, I think, an ever so slightly sweeter chocolaty after taste. Both have that great mild nutty undertone. What I like more about the Dark Guatemalan, over the Dark Italian Roast Espresso, is the aroma. It fills the kitchen with a thick, pleasant, aroma that will have you salivating for a full cup... and then a second. You can't go wrong with this one to start your day with, or even for a relaxing sipper in the evening.
No. Really. This is very flavorful.Hubby's favorite coffee was the pre-Starbucks takeover of Seattle's Best.None of the current numbers of SB please him.Tried Dunkin' Donuts (he liked them, I didn't). 8 0'Clock coffee (I liked it, he didn't).Gevalia subscription (he liked it, I didn't).We don't do SBUX, so don't even think about it.THIS, however, was a random chance. What did we have to lose by ordering "locally roasted (well....Pennsylvania, and we're a few states to the southwest)? Holy cow!! Ordered on Friday, delivered on Sunday (humblest apologies, Mail Carrier!). Fragrant before we even opened the bag. Ground up some beans, made a pot of coffee....SO GOOD!Back in the day when I was able to find a delicious local roasted coffee, we're no longer able to purchase from them. This Mexican Chiapas is scrumptious.PS: medium roast, without the acidic aftertaste. Our generic Mr. Coffee has an option for a "strong brew" which Hubby uses for me. Sweet and caramelly notes. I highly recommend.
On Our Second 5 LB of this Stuff. Wow!! My Wife is from Guatemala and She's now Truly Happy, thanks to This Coffee. We Can't Believe How Much Better this is Than the Other Guatemalan from an AM Coffee Place online, which we were Pretty Happy with. So, we were amazed that this one was not only Stronger, but actually had a broader and Smoother Flavor, as Well. On top of all of that, it is 20% Cheaper and Stays Stable, in flavor, for a longer Period of Time. The Roasting was consistent between Both Bags and Not Over or Under Roasted. A Good Amount of that Golden Yellow Oil floating on Top when Finished Brewing. Fresh Aroma also. I Pray it Stays the Same!!
